Memory Monday

Beginning with verse 57…

You are my portion, Oh Lord; I have said that I would keep Your word. I have entreated Your favor with my whole heart; Be merciful to me according to Your word. I thought about my ways and turned my feet to Your testimonies. I made haste and did not delay to keep Your commandments.

The cords of the wicked have bound me, but I have not forgotten Your law. At midnight I will rise and give thanks to You because of Your righteous judgments. I am a companion of all who fear You, and of those who keep Your precepts. The earth, O Lord, is full of Your mercy. Teach me Your statutes.

You have dealt well with Your servant, O Lord, according to Your word. Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe Your commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your law. You are good and do good; teach me Your statutes.

And here are the verses I’ll work on for this week (69-72)

69 The proud have forged a lie against me,
But I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart.
70 Their heart is as fat as grease,
But I delight in Your law.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted,
That I may learn Your statutes.
72 The law of Your mouth is better to me
Than thousands of coins of gold and silver.

Happy Memorizing! 🙂

  1. “the Lord is my portion.” Oh my goodness, I get a much bigger portion than I deserve. Praise Him.

  2. Hi!! Have a happy day Heather!

here’s my little bit more! 🙂

But in a great house there are vessels of gold, and or silver, but also of wood and of earth; some to honor, some to dishonor.

If a man purge himself of these things, he shall be a vessel of honor, sanctified, fit for the master’s use, prepared for every good work.

Flee also youthful lusts, but follow after rightousness, faith, charity, peace with those that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

But the man of God must not strive, but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient.

…and two more that are just not clicking yet…
    – one has about people ‘opposing themselves…” I think I need to find out what it’s all talking about!!!

    Have a great day friend.
