The Bridge

I’ve read the story many times. I even used it as a devotional with my choir years ago. Yet this video brings it all to life like never before. Grab the box of tissues… this has got to be the greatest love story ever told.

  1. Oh, man, that was hard to watch, but the end is worth it. That was so moving and brought tears to my eyes. thank you for sharing it

  2. I have seen this a while back but my God, the impact. The part that tore me up was the people on the train. They didnt even know they had just been saved. How many times am I the people on the train? Not even knowing the sacrifice that has been made for me. Or knowing but not really realizing the depth. Makes me think of this scripture.. (ESV)

Heb 2:1 Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.
Heb 2:2 For since the message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and every transgression or disobedience received a just retribution,
Heb 2:3 how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard,
Heb 2:4 while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

  3. Ok, that is the last time I ignore the ‘grab a box of tissues’ warning…even when I figured out what story it was. Thanks for posting it.

  4. I have seen that before but it is always so touching. Thanks so much for visiting me over at The Point. I think my post today stepped on my toes more than anyones. I have had so many ‘functional gods’ I could start a club. Praise Jesus for His power over functional gods!!

  5. Woah – good, but a bit intense for my pregnancy hormones…
